Plant Pages - What's it all about

As a keen plantsman I am often at a loss for information on a particular plant or genus. Most good texts list common varieties but invariably only have tempting snippets on rarities or uncommon plants. The combination of a lack of cultivation information and usually no images keeps these plants from being more commonly grown.

Like many other gardeners and plantsmen I have had my successes and failures with many of these uncommon species.

These pages give me the opportunity to share some of those experiences and maybe inspire others to have a go. I would also hope that you will share you own growing experiences.

The information on these pages will unless otherwise stated relate to cultivation in the UK but should prove useful to gardeners in any temperate region.
