Arisaema triphyllum

Arisaema triphyllum - dark spathe formA robust 'Jack' with very variable colouring in the spathe - plain green at one end of the a scale to a deep purple at the other.

The leaves have three leaflets and occur singly or sometimes in pairs on mature plants. In some forms the leaves may also be suffused with purple.

Cultivation

While Arisaema triphyllum can be found in bogs and damp woodlands in its native lands it is perhaps wise to ensure good drainage when grown in the UK.
