The camassias are a genus of six bulbous perennials from North America with racemes of generally blue, six-petalled flowers. As with much of the liliaceae there has been a great debate as to the members. Camassia is one of the genera that are now considered to be part of the Agave family, Agavaceae.
We are old fashioned at the plantsman so Camassia will remain a lily until such time as we see fit to overhaul our records. So, whatever your thoughts, lily or agave, enjoy the plants.
